Some companies have no scruples when it comes to selling “prescription drugs” over the internet, and there are increasing uncoverings of cases where the drugs shipped to people buying them online are not at all what they are supposed to be or are just 100% fake ripoffs of what they say they are.

A scary news story right now is that the FDA has issued consumer warnings to people who ordered various drugs from an online pharmacy ranging from Ambien, the sleep aid, to painkillers such as vicodin, and antidepressants and instead received a powerful antipsychotic drug which sent some of the consumers to the emergency room.

Upon investigation, drug analysis shows that these people were sent to the emergency room because the antipsychotic drug was haloperidol that was switched with their drug request, unbeknownst to them by the online provider.  This is why you should choose carefully when buying prescription drugs online.  Just make sure the site you have chosen is reputable.  You can also look them up on the Better Business Bureau to see if any formal complaints have been lodged against them before you buy.
