OK, sometimes you just can’t rely on scientific studies. Remember how we discussed the fact that studies pointed to the fact that hormone treatments for women in menopause could significantly spike their risk of heart disease? The scientific community is “sort of” retracting that statement by qualifying this a little more with additional studies which essentially infer that it’s not so bad – if you’re in or around your fifties.
Talks about ambiguous!
I still do believe that natural HRT, or herbal remedies for menopause, is the way to go, as it’s just not usually safe to use synthetic hormones, and great care and supervision is needed if women are put on artificial HRT to watch for things like blood clots and other signs of potential grave health risks involving the heart and circulatory system.
This does mean that the original participants in the study are celebrating too, because apparently they felt the test subjects were too old for participation and presented results that were not necessarily accurate, because too much time had gone by and they were not in the more optimal health like the women in their fifties were who were put on HRT in this newest study.
