I just watched one of the most interesting pieces on a local news channel about the connection that has been made between curvier women, that is, women with larger hips and thighs than their waist line, are statistically smarter than those with no hips/waist, and also produce smarter offspring. Interesting, huh?
Well, it gets even more interesting, and talks about something we love to talk about and promote here at HerbalNews, and that is omega 3 fatty acid dietary supplements, and their connection to this curvy and smart correlation in women. First of all, we all know that omega three fatty acids are an incredibly beneficial nutrient that benefits the heart, circulatory system and skin, but we may just be beginning to discover it’s impact on brain function and intelligence.
The reason I say that is that researchers believe the connection between curvier women and higher intelligence is believed to be related to the fact that women with more hip and thigh fat naturally have higher stores of omega 3’s because hip and thigh fat is where omega 3’s are naturally stored by the body more readily, and more easily preserved for utilization.
Women with higher fat content around these areas are better able to think critically and are more apt to have higher IQ’s and do better on IQ tests because they have the stores of omega 3’s from which to pull. This same thing does not apply to women with excess fat around the midsection, in fact, excess fat in this area is often considered unhealthful and even dangerous when it comes to heart health.
So, I guess that if you have a little extra to spare in the hips and thighs, something that many women try like crazy to get rid of, maybe you should think twice, or at the very least, consider not downsizing as much, since this may be the key to your smarts!
