We tend to mostly talk about men when it comes to hair loss, because men are statistically much more likely to inherit this gene from the men in their family, and we are far more likely to see men sporting a receding hair line and male pattern baldness (the type that’s on the top of the head), than we are to see women suffering from women’s hair loss, which is basically hair that can recede at the front of the head, and also at the top and all around the crown in different patchy places.

Because a woman’s hair is so tied to her self esteem, it can be extremely hard for women to deal with female hair loss, and more and more women are using hair los products like rogaine, Provillus and other hair loss treatments for women with minoxidil and other ingredients that have proven effective to help their hair regrow.  Except many women use these products secretly because they think they are in such a minority to be a woman and be losing their hair because of all the press given to men’s hair loss.

But the fact is that alopecia in women is gaining, and there is no telling why, except that maybe stress factors have to do with the androgens (male hormones) that are primarily responsible for hair loss in both men and women.  Women may seek the help of a dermatologist of hair loss specialist center to help regrow their hair, but this is often time consuming and very expensive, so the popularity in products sold online of in stores for women’s hair loss has increased tremendously.

Many women will also go to lengths to conceal the fact that they are losing their hair by combing and brushing it certain ways, styling it a different way to give it more body to conceal areas of thinning hair, and also by coloring it a darker color that may help camouflage it.

The fact is though, that women with alopecia or thinning hair will need to treat it as soon as possible so they can both preserve that hair that has not begun to fall out in patches, and also begin to regrow the hair and nourish the follicles and clear them so that new hair has the ability to grow out of the follicle.  For more information on herbal and natural hair growth products for women see Provillus review – it’s popular for a reason, and has a topical and oral regimen that is very effective when combined for women’s (and men’s) hair loss.
