It’s no secret nowadays that utilizing and maniupulating your dietary food intake can immensely benefit your health, and even “cure” you of certain disorders of ailments, or at least reduce their symptoms and severity greatly. You diet is actually one of the best lifestyle factors that you have direct control over, which can benefit you on so many levels it’s insane to think you have no say in your health.

Your mind, your body, energy levels, rate at which your body and brain age, and your major organs function, are all in part controlled by the foods that you eat. For this precise reason, there have been more and more studies done on how different diets and eating styles have impacted various health issues. One of those studies that is more recent is one that confirms what was already known.

Alzheimers, a degenerative brain disease in which a person increasingly forgets various things and has a hard time forming full thoughts, is the latest disease and function of aging that has been found to be very responsive to certain dietary changes.

Specifically, it was found in this study that people who consumed more olive oils, nuts rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin B, and other nutrients associated with anti aging, had a much lower risk of developing alzheimers. People who consumed a lot of red meat, saturated fats and unhealthy carbs had a higher incidence of alzheimers disease. This just goes to show that the foods you choose have a huge impact on your likelihood of disease and health issues.

They also impact your longevity, since many of the health problems associated with unhealthy diets like heart disease, stroke and cancer, are often associated with unbalanced/unhealthy dietary choices.
