Trying My Hand at Natural Perfumes, Lip Balms

I’m very excited about my next little personal endeavor. And who knows, if I get good at it, maybe I can actually craft some sort of business plan combined with a little philanthropy tossed in the mix.

That is my dream. To have a business, making products that are healthy for people instead of adding more toxins to their body, and also being able to give back. Thus far, that dream has been an enigma for me, and it’s up to me to change that. But I digress.

What I’ve been thinking about doing for a year now, and have finally gotten it together enough to jump in with both feet, is to begin making some natural perfume as well as a natural lip balm.

The idea came to me about a year ago when I was searching for a perfume, and was really taken aback by how rancid the stuff would go, and by how it would sometimes make me feel stuffed up and nasal when I used it. It also just smells “synthetic” – like you could smell the synthetic chemical musks and so forth sometimes.

I really like lighter, more natural scents that are also sexy, and there really isn’t any out there that have satisfied that need for me yet. So I decided that I would try my hand at making a perfume that is made only with scents that I personally like, and see how it works out.

I will talk more about this soon, as I go through the experience. I’m making lip balm with in the next week or so with pure bees wax and some other ingredients, so I’ll also share the experience with you, my dear readers!   I would also like to make them hypoallergenic.
